PGY-3 in the Integrated Vascular Surgery Program

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and completed a B.A. in Spanish Studies from Duke University in 2012. I went on to complete an M.S. in Biochemistry with a concentration in Organic Chemistry, Nanoscience, and Nanoengineering from UNC Greensboro in 2015, with a research focus in the medicinal effects of herbal remedies on HIV infection and propagation. I completed my MS Health Law & Policy at Wake Forest in 2020, and my MD/PhD at Wake Forest in 2022 with a research focus in vascular tissue engineering. My current research includes developing in vitro microphysiological systems to model atherosclerotic vascular disease and common comorbidities, modeling physiological vascular flow, tissue engineered vascular graft design, and health disparities in vascular surgery.
