I was born in China and came to the US for school in 2016. During my undergrad at UC Davis, I worked in a tissue engineering lab and studied the application of extracellular vesicles and stem cell therapy. I came to Duke in 2022 for my Master's. I first worked in a biosensor lab and researched on the fabrication and optimization of nucleotide probe detection platforms. In winter 2023, I joined Truskey lab as an associate-in-research and investigated the effect of environmental toxicants on human skeletal muscle myobundles. Starting in fall 2024, I will be furthering my research in the field of skeletal muscle microphysiological models and applications as a PhD student.
