Originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, I emigrated to the US and completed my B.S. at CUNY John Jay College in New York City in 2016. After a post-bac at Virginia Tech where I looked at sex determination in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, I was admitted to the University Program in Genetics and Genomics (UPGG) and joined the Truskey lab in late 2018. Currently my research investigates how the rare disease Progeria affects the function and gene expression of endothelial and smooth muscle cells in response to physiological stimuli.
