Alaa Osman

Hello, my name is Alaa, and I am a sophomore from Florida planning to major in both Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering. As a Huang Fellow, I joined the lab the summer after my freshman year at Duke. My work currently involves analyzing micrographs of tissue-engineered muscles, called "myobundles", for a project relating to juvenile dermatomyositis. My interest in the development of prosthetic devices also led me to become a member of Duke eNable. In my spare time, I love to draw and play the piano while I pursue a minor in Music
