Mingzhi received a fellowship from the International Federation for Ethical Research (IFER) for her project "An Integrated Microfluidic System with Engineered Blood Vessel Mimic and Skeletal Muscle to Investigate the Relation Between Rheumatoid Arthritis and Atherosclerosis "  The fellowship will provide funds for supplies.
