Jon Carter

I'm an undergraduate in the class of 2023 majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in visual arts. I was born and raised outside of Durham in a small town named Hillsborough. I have been part of the Truskey lab since Freshman year, and I'm currently working with Catherine Oliver in understanding the effects of rheumatoid arthritis on skeletal muscle. Around campus, you can find me practicing with the men's rowing team, doing 5 am workouts, or playing instruments and listening to music. After graduation, I hope to get a masters in oceanography. I also love taking weekend surf trips whenever possible!
