I am originally from Enfield, Connecticut. I received my Bachelors of Science in Engineering with Honors from the University of Connecticut in 2015 where I majored in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Biomaterials, and minored in Materials Science and Engineering. I am currently a first year Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. I work in the Truskey Lab on tissue engineered blood vessels as part of a larger project funded by NIH aimed towards the development of a physiologically relevant in vitrosystem-on-a-chip to further advance disease modeling and drug testing. I aspire to work as a researcher for a Tissue Engineering company after completing my Ph.D.
